Love Thy Neighbor: A Christian Response to Seattle’s Homeless Crisis

Please register in advance for the Zoom link. Your confirmation email will contain the link to join.

The homelessness crisis in King County continues to create more questions than answers. One of the most important questions for the Church is, “How can we love and care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness?”

In this seminar, we’ll cover…

  1. The facts and myths about homelessness in King County.

  2. The impact of trauma on people experiencing homelessness.

  3. What the Church can do to engage homelessness.

We’ll also include thoughts and ideas on homelessness from experts on the issue, stories of life transformation from people who have experienced homelessness themselves, and a discussion on practical ways that churches and individuals can help people get the streets and find the help they need.

Hosted by Hillary Dunham

Adult Seminar Series
It’s important to create space for parishioners to share their experience and knowledge with one another. We don’t often have the luxury (or the time) to wrestle with the “things of God” outside of Sunday worship. The Adult Seminars Series endeavor to create this space. It’s not the pulpit, and certainly not a soapbox, but a forum where we can learn, ask questions, and experience kinship with one another.

Contact our Pastor of Arts and Education, Dcn. Jeremiah with any questions.
