The Language of Care for the Suffering: What to Say and What Not to Say

  • Fee Hall - Northwest University 5520 108th Avenue Northeast Kirkland, WA 98033 (map)

We have all wrestled with finding the words to comfort those who are facing dark times. Our time together will explore situations ranging from chronic illness, death, hospitalizations, catastrophic diagnosis, disability, and plain old discouragement. A multitude of practical ideas and resources will be shared to help us offer words of compassion and hope to the hurting.

Register to receive the Zoom link for the seminar.

Hosted by Natalie Higashiyama.

Adult Seminar Series
It’s important to create space for parishioners to share their experience and knowledge with one another. We don’t often have the luxury (or the time) to wrestle with the “things of God” outside of Sunday worship. The Adult Seminars Series endeavor to create this space. It’s not the pulpit, and certainly not a soapbox, but a forum where we can learn, ask questions, and experience kinship with one another.

Contact our Pastor of Arts and Education, Dcn. Jeremiah with any questions.
